FLYING TOGETHER AS WE GROW AND LEARN
On behalf of everyone at Threshfield Primary School I would like to extend a warm welcome to our school website and hope that as you explore it you gain a sense of the enabling and caring ethos we foster here.
Our recent Ofsted inspection (July 2018) confirms what I have known for some time now – that we are a solidly GOOD school. The opening lines say it all:
“Parents rightly think highly of Threshfield School, which is an integral part of its local community. ‘This school is always friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond,’ commented one parent.”
“The headteacher is passionate about ensuring that pupils achieve the best outcomes. With support from a new governing body and new leaders in post, he has successfully addressed the areas for improvement since the school’s previous inspection.”
“Staff have worked successfully to improve the quality of teaching…Pupils behave well and show good attitudes to learning,”
Indeed, visitors to our school always remark on our happy, hardworking and polite pupils and welcoming, supportive staff. Pupils and parents know that with dedicated staff and governors, working in unison, we enable every child to make the best possible progress in their learning; that we get the balance between care and challenge right.
Our bright, happy and welcoming school, with inspiring colourful and interactive learning environments, is set in an idyllic backdrop, close to the River Wharfe; the perfect setting in which our learners thrive and succeed.
The oldest part of the school is a Grade 2 listed building and dates back to 1674; the newest, completed in 2011.
Whilst serving our local community we are also delighted to have pupils from the wider area: Skipton, Long Preston and Littondale, from where NYCC subsidised transport cost is available.
If you are a prospective parent, we hope the information on the website is useful and informative. Please contact the school office if you wish to visit the school and we will be delighted to show you around.
