The school day starts at 9.00am and finishes at 3.30pm.  Registration is from 9.00am to 9.10am.

Morning playtimes

At 10.30am, children from Y1 to Y6 have a ‘brain break’ and a quick burst of exercise. All the children enjoy playtime together and games are encouraged by the staff on duty.

Reception children have break times which are quite flexible.  During the school year, they will join the rest of the children on the playground.

Lunch

Lunchtime runs from 12.00pm - 1.00pm, daily. We serve delicious hot meals and some children bring their own packed lunches. We are a nut free school which means no items containing nuts can be brought into school, due to allergies.

Afternoon playtimes

Afternoon break is flexible for each class and our teachers organise the time depending on the lessons being taught.

Drop-off and collection

Each mornings, there is a member of staff on the playground gate from 8.50am. This member of staff is supervising the playground and we encourage parents to leave the children at the playground gate; this allows children to partake in play and exercise before school, as the playground isn't crowded with parents.

At home time, there is a member of staff on duty on the playground gate and pick up is between 3.30pm - 3.40pm. This allows the congestion of cars to be minimised, ensuring the safety of the children and their parents.

Please be aware that the school operates a one-way system on the roads around school in an attempt to stop congestion. We only have very narrow roads and by following the one-way system, vehicles do not become struck in traffic jams and reversing down narrow, car-crowded roads is stopped.

Getting to school

To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option! There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users, and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. Alternatively, we have bike-racks. If you do need to travel by car, please park wisely.
