The School Council is made up of one boy and one girl from Years 2-6, elected by their class mates in the autumn term.
The council stands for one full academic year and meet with the head teacher every week. Meetings are chaired and clerked by Year 6. They are a lively, articulate group who ensure that children’s views, concerns and ideas are heard. This year they have:
- Set up and run a new tuck shop selling fair trade/low sugar goodies.
- Organised Children in Need/Red Nose Day and worked with the local chemists to arrange a sponsored bounce for Kingfishers class.
- Launched a "Use Both Sides" campaign to reduce paper wastage
There is a lot more to come!
