I am a parent governor though my children have now left Threshfield Primary to go to Upper Wharfedale School. I was born in Leeds, but moved to Threshfield four years ago and love now living in the countryside. I am married to Andy and we have three sons.
I work for Yorkshire Camps at Netherside Hall running Christian residential holidays for children and young people.

I became a parent governor at Threshfield in October 2016, shortly after my daughter joined the school. I have very happy memories of attending my village primary school in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, and want to help Threshfield achieve its goals. My background is in financial services which has been useful in understanding school budgets and funding. I have three children and in my spare time I love yoga, running and growing flowers for floristry.

I moved to Linton at the end of August 2018, with my wife Ellie and two young boys, just in time for my eldest to start in reception at Threshfield that year. Our youngest son is now also at Threshfield, and both boys love the school, and are really benefiting from the great environment.
Ellie is originally from Addingham, with family still in the area, so we're here for the long-term, and I'm excited to help the school to continue to thrive. Being part of a rural community is in my blood, having grown up in a farming family, although nowadays I work in the IT services industry.

I have lived in the area since the 1980s and have been involved with Threshfield Primary School in one way or another since then! All three of our children were educated here and I was also lucky enough to be the Year 5 and 6 class teacher for many years. More recently I was employed by North Yorkshire as a Specialist Teacher for Communication and Interaction supporting Primary Schools in Craven.
I passionately believe that children need to feel happy and secure in an educational setting in order to learn and achieve their full potential whatever their ability. I hope to be able to support the school to continue to develop and thrive.
