Welcome to the Curlews' class. There are 17 children from years 2, 3 & 4 in this class, working with their teacher, Miss. Alexander.

The following information is a brief summary of what your child will be learning this half term. If you are able to support some of these activities by encouraging your child to find out more, or bring resources into school we would be very grateful.

Spelling will be taught weekly with spelling patterns sent home on Mondays to be tested on, on Fridays.

Guided Reading- in small groups we will ask relevant questions to extend our understanding and knowledge. We will learn how to articulate and justify our answers, arguments and opinions.

Our term will begin with the picture book 'Flood' which the children will use as a stimulus for their story writing. We will also be reading, writing and performing poetry and our grammar focus will be speech punctuation.

Times tables are practised regularly - please continue to work on them at home too!
